 Providing atmosphere and mood for this dining experience is the musical entertainment by the Community Band. Beginning at 5:30 PM, the band will perform a one-hour concert. The community band is mainly composed of individuals who are former high school band members, and a few current band members who simply enjoy getting together to perform. It is a volunteer organization that anyone properly trained to play an instrument can join. The band is directed by Joy Stowers, former South Newton Band Director, and has become a familiar sight and sound at area events over the last few years, including the both inaugurations of Governor Mitch Daniels. On Friday evening, the members will be playing a selection of songs which is sure to include one of your favorites. Plan now for that "special evening", just you, that someone special, and hundreds of other people at the Newton County Fair Pork Chop Supper & Community Band Concert!
