It’s a Fair within a Fair!

Come join us for Earth Night at the fair Thursday, July 14th, 2011!

The Newton County Soil and Water Conservation District along with the Northwest Indiana Solid Waste District & Newton County Recycling team up to bring you an entertaining, yet educational experience. On Thursday beginning at 4:00pm, the Sheep Barn arena will be transformed into an environmental extravaganza filled with many things to see and do. Let the kids work on a craft while you have your natural resource questions answered by a team of professionals.  There will be many environmental games for the kids as well.  At 5:15 pm The Nature Conservancy will have a bird call contest open to all ages with prizes or those who best mimic the call of a specified bird.  Join us for special entertainment at 6:00 pm by Mark Booth & his “Birds of Prey.” There will be something for everyone – prizes, too!    
This is your chance to come to the fair within the fair, with no cost to you, so be sure to mark your calendar and come out for the fun!
